
Civitas Estates was founded to bridge the gap between residents' needs and professional estate management. As a family-run business, we bring a personal touch to residential property management that from experience is often missing from larger corporate providers.

About Us

Our Story
​Our founder qualified as a civil engineer and spent over a decade in technical roles from Engineer to Director with several of the UK's leading private and FTSE plc property developers. This experience provided invaluable insight into how modern residential developments actually work – from land acquisition and planning permissions, detailed design and construction, as well as sales and after care.
We have also unfortunately seen complex drainage systems not being correctly maintained resulting in planning enforcement, unfinished sites that looked nothing like the sales brochure, and misunderstanding of the legal frameworks governing estate management.
There was a clear gap in the quality of service being received at the occupational stages for both the developer and the resident. After seeing too many residents frustrated by poor management, unreliable subcontractors, unpredictable costs, and lack of developer maintenance prior to handover of the estate – we realised that progress is impossible without change.
After a successful year breaking divisional records while employed at a developer, achieving the greatest number of management company site handovers completed in a year – we decided to apply this same tenacity to the estate management sector and do things differently.
So, we established Civitas Estates to provide the kind of estate management service we would want for our own home and community.​

We want to change how residential estate management works in the UK. Too many residents feel disconnected from the companies managing their estates, frustrated by poor communication, and trapped by ever-increasing charges.
We believe estate management should be transparent, responsive, and focused on building communities where people genuinely want to live. That is what drives us every day.
